Shane Norrie

Shane Norrie is a painter and potter whose practice blends abstract expression with influences drawn from the outdoors and the rhythms of Canadian landscapes; trained both in design and ceramics, he developed a distinctive aesthetic that pairs gestural mark-making with refined functional forms. Early career exhibitions and residencies allowed him to refine techniques in wheel-thrown and hand-built ceramics, while experimenting with glazes and surface treatments. His work often explores texture, colour layering, and the tension between utility and art. His collections feel simultaneously spontaneous and deliberate. Committed to evolution in his work, Shane balances freelance and gallery work with small-batch collections, sold online and through select Canadian galleries and shops.

Jeffery Robinson

Jeffery Robinson is Shane Norrie's partner and the studio's indispensable support person. A retired elementary school teacher with a BA in Fine Art (Studio) and a BEd, Jeffery brings patience and a practical sensibility to all of the studio's projects. He manages bookkeeping, framing, communications, sales, shipping and web design— essentially handling everything Shane doesn't want to do. Whether reconciling accounts, preparing artworks for shipment, corresponding with clients, or keeping the online shop running smoothly, Jeffery ensures the creative side of the studio can focus on making art while the business side runs reliably.
